Spurs, Jazz Preview

Quickly, I expect the Spurs to win this game by 12.  The Jazz have been inconsistent all season, mainly due to injuries.  But this means that they have not found their rhythm yet.  The Spurs were destroyed by the Lakers in their last outing and had a few days to let it fester.  They will come out tonight very focused.  Manu was off against the Lakers, so look for him to pour in around 20.  Bottom line, Spurs by 12.

  1. Spurs came away with a crucial win on the road but don't take away anything from Manu tonight. Though the Jazz did their best to stop him scoring but they could not have anticipated his other contribution. Crucial FT, clutch rebound and a gahe high 4 steals.

Here is my version of the game recap.

  2. I thought Manu was going to score more, but it seems as if the Jazz came in with the game plan of getting the ball out of Manu's hands. It's a great move by Sloan, since we basically have Manu go 1 on 5 to let Tony and Tim rest. But Manu was still the difference maker and if the refs had called the game fairly, the Spurs win by 12, easily. No wonder the Jazz are so good at home, their fans begin the game booing the refs and by the fourth, the refs are jaded and making ridiculous calls for the Jazz.
